Well Done Steve and Daryl !!

Here is a brilliant video that I was part of over the weekend. A couple of my fellow student Directed this piece of video and asked a few of us to take part. It took a couple of hours to complete we even had a little audience - Bless 'em. I think this is a really nice piece of work and I'm hoping to get the raw files soon so that I can have a go at mixing it up myself.

Map Page

The Boots link leads the user to a map where they can put the mouse over a dot to see one of my photos from that place.

I think this slide looks really good, it is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use, I will add the 'home' button to the top left corner of this slide so that the user can easily navigate back to the cabinet and then on to other parts of the project.

The First Page

I have a nice front page that displays my Logo for the viewer to see, the user can 'enter' the identities cabinet from here. This action will trigger the introduction video featuring my avatar (posted below) which in turn leads to my identities cabinet.

I will edit this slide by making the background all white as it should be.

CherryBlossom Tree Objects

My cabinet is coming along nicely I think it is all working well and looks great!

Now I have created the Guitar and Rugy Ball objects and I have added the Books on a shelf turning them into links to the other pages.

Final Introduction

Hummingbird Avatar

Here is the finished introduction of my cabinet which features my Hummingbird avaitar and is an AV piece for the project. I am very pleased with this little film. I plan to have this film play when the user enters the Identities cabinet before they are sent to the actual cabinet.

If I were to change this little intro to the cabinet in the future, I would develope the setting around the hummingbird and the globe. I would include grass, a terrain, clouds etc.

But as it is, I am very happy with it.

Stopmotion with Wolf and Pig

A friend told me about this brilliant video on you tube which demonstrates an awsome use of stopmotion.

Home Button

Any page that takes the user away from the main page will have a little 'home' button (shaped like a house) to take them back, making it easier for the user to navigate around the project.

Video page concept

As stated below one of the objects on the tree will take the user to another page that has all my vidoes on it, that page will look a little like this, as if the viewer is looking up into the branches of the tree. On the branches will be my videos and the user can select which movie file they wish to watch.

Cabinet Concept

I have drawn up my cabinet layout to explain better how this 'cherry tree' idea will work. Dotted around the tree will be my objects, some objects are just to represent different personality traits and other objects are for the user to interact with. At the base of the tree is a guitar and a rugby ball to show some of my past time activities, these are objects that are not interactive.

Objects that are to be interactive are a pair of walking boots that hang from the tree, the user will click on the boots to reveal a map of the world which has been marked to show where I have visited.

A picture of me and my fiance is also pinned on the tree, this will enlarge when the use rolls over it.

A shelf of books, each book when clicked on opens a photo album, one holds family photos, one holds travel photos and the other hold art work photos..

A pair of headphones (this might change though) is a link to another page that has videos on it. These videos are from past projects that I have made or been a part of here at NTU so far.

Hanging Boots

I have started to put objects on the cherry tree, the first thing I have put on is the hanging walking boots - which I LOVE!

Intro Animation without sound

Here is the finished animation without sound. I am not happy with it yet though as it would only export as a quicktime file and there are line on the objects? I'll try it again to get it to export as an AVI file but so far i'm having no such luck.

Cabinet Background

I've finished the background or layout of my cabinet, the cherry tree. I also made a little video of its creation which I will include in the project!

Ok so since I sussed out the morphing problem while I was waiting for the image to upload, now it flies when turbo smooth :D

Colour and Flight

Woop Woop! I've managed to animate my little hummingbird! And I've given it sone colour too! yay! The problem at the minute is that for some reason it wont fly when turbo smooth?? I'll have to figure that one out in a bit.
