Moodboard for my Identities Cabinet

Here is the mood board for my Identities cabinet, I have included all the objects that I feel are significant to me as a person and therefore as a practitioner.

Firstly, I have included grass as the background layer, this is because I am very fond of green and nature. It is also because of the kind of outdoor sport (football and rugby) I have been involved with from a young age. That is why it includes a pair of rugby boots, displaying these also displays my experience working as a team member which I believe is a very important attribute to have throughout life.

Just visible is a cherry blossom tree aligned to the left of the mood board, again this reflects my love of nature and pretty things, I love how the petals from this tree fall in the wind, it is very much like the snow inside the snow globes that I love so much.

Scattered Cd's represents my love of all kinds of music, using the music that I enjoy in the project is an easy and effective way of creating an atmosphere that displays my personality.

Walking boots in front of a world map is to show my love of travel and adventure, this includes meeting new people and seeing new places.

The paint tubes and brushes is to show my creative side and my favourite past time. Also I have included a movie board and a console remote as other examples of my hobbies.

The digital camera and the MP3 player are to show my interest in technology, the music on someones MP3 player can tell you a lot abut the person as can pictures in a camera.

I included a dominoes set as I love playing board games with family and Friends.

I collect snow globes so I have added one of those. I love how they safely display whatever is inside and create an atmosphere in a delicate glass dome, it is kind of similar to what I will be doing in this project, displaying my objects inside a safe place, creating an atmosphere for them.

When I looked at all these images merging together I realised they were all quite boyish, so I added my favourite perfumes and makeup to remind others, and myself in fact!, that I am a girl - not a very a girly one, but a girl just the same! Only a few lucky people get to see my feminine side but it is there.
