The Arboretum

Physical Environment:
This environment provides a relaxing atmosphere and maintains the areas Heritage for people within the city. There are winding pathways throughout the park that take in the nature around. Information on the shrubs and trees is given so that people can discover what is around them in more detail, there are benches around the park to rest on and take in the atmosphere. Following the paths take visitors to the various features within the park. I feel very relaxed and calm in this space, it is very refreshing to walk around a well maintained 'green' area within the city.

Online Environment:
The online environment will be aimed at people who live in the surrounding area of the arboretum and visitors to the city. It will be designed to promote the arboretum, the heritage that it holds and the various features within it. The user will be able to navigate around the park following paths as thay are in the actual park to see the park features and read the information about them. The information on the website would have to be updated to display the various events that take place in the park throughout the year and to show any awards that the park wins. I think the arboretum website would be a great community project which would give me satisfaction.
