Roth Aniko

http://www.rothaniko.hu/

Through thefwa.com I came across this website for artist Roth Aniko, an artist from Hungary. although I was looking for websites based on architecture for my web project this one caught my eye. It is designed by a company called Kilfish and is the artist's portfolio website. Users can also purchase goods though the site via email. As soon as you log onto the website you are immersed in the environment created, there is a town and the sea to view and you can hear water tinkling and quiet streets in the background of the various contraptions, created within Aniko's artwork, squeaking or motoring in front of the scene. Even when you are not interacting with the site you are still engaged by it because there is always the sounds and something moving on the screen.

Even though the purpose of this website is different to the one that I am designing the style of it is one that I would like to incorporate. The illustrative quality captures the user, there is quality in the imagery used that holds your attention. The tonal colours used here to represent the artists' work are also a feature that I would use in my website to create depth in the on screen environment that I would like to create.
